Laura C. Butler, DNP, RNC-OB, WCS-C
Laura Butler has been a nurse for 30 years, a mom for 23 years and and daughter of the King for 40 years. Her and husband have 4 children and have always had a heart for Waco. She currently is an OB Nursing Professor at a local university and was a bedside nurse at a very busy hospital in Houston... Through her many years of laboring moms and teaching she had a strong desire to start a childbirth class for the families in Waco with a Christian perceptive because that did not exists at the time. So, she partner with another Labor and Delivery nurse (her sweet friend Natalie Long) to write the God honoring curriculum and started Rooted in Christ Childbirth Class in the fall of 2022.
Natalie Long, BSN, RN
Natalie is a labor and delivery nurse here in Waco and she believes it is a privilege it is to help deliver babies. She believes pregnancy, labor, delivery, and motherhood is a sanctifying and holy process for a family; she loves having a front row seat in watching the Lord work in families’ lives. One of her favorite things as a labor and delivery nurse is getting to sit, listen, and educate mothers and their partners.
Shelby Harrison BSN, RNC-OB
Shelby Harrison, BSN, RN, is a Labor and Delivery nurse in Waco. She is passionate about supporting moms and dads as they step into parenthood. Whether welcoming their first baby or adding to their family, she loves guiding families through this transition with compassion and education. Shelby believes that understanding the birth process and embracing God’s beautiful design for pregnancy bring peace and confidence during this life-change.

Lauren Sams, MS, RD, IBCLC Pediatric Dietitian & International Board Certified Lactation Consultant!!
Lauren Sams is a Pediatric Registered Dietitian and Lactation Consultant specializing in infant nutrition since 2015. Her experience spans Neonatal Intensive Care, WIC, and private practice, where she provides personalized feeding support for families. Currently, Lauren serves Central Texas families at Compleo Kids in Woodway and is making a widespread impact online through her presence @Grow.Baby.Nutrition where she shares practical, evidence-based tips on infant nutrition and breastfeeding. Passionate about empowering parents, Lauren strives to instill confidence in every family as they navigate how to nourish their little ones.
Car Seat Safety Expert
Kendra Gee has been providing physical therapy services to children, from birth to 21 years old, since beginning her career as a physical therapist, and feels as though it is her true calling.
She is also a Child Passenger Safety Technician and can complete car seat evaluations and installations. She is passionate about pediatrics and empowering parents to have their children reach their full potential.
